Leica has released firmware update version 2.0 for the D-Lux 7, C-Lux and V-Lux 5 compacts. It’s a minor step forward, largely to install the Easy Connect functionality which works with the latest, heavily revised version of the FOTOS app. As always, I recommend keeping your firmware up to date even if you don’t feel you need the new features. Also, it goes without saying that you should ensure FOTOS has been updated on your smartphone.
Easy Connect removes all the hassle of pairing cameras and phones. A single click allows for a one-step pairing process. The update also activates the Geotagging feature.
